The Creative Competition 2010
Terms and conditions:
This media art competition is open to all primary, secondary schools, Youthreach and youth services in Ireland. Prizes are advertised on the poster. Entry is online following registration. Due to our office space, we will not accept hard copy entries in the post.
We are asking that you show the Show Racism the Red Card DVD to your students. After watching the DVD, we are looking for written, visual or audiovisual entries to the competition. Entries should relate to the themes presented in the DVD namely Racism and Diversity.
Written work should be no longer than 500 words. It can be in the form of a poem, essay, letter or article, while visual entries can be in the form of paintings, sculptures and photographs. We will also be interested in film/ music entries, which should be no longer than 5 minutes.
For visual art work, we advise that you take a digital photo of the art work and send that in as a jpeg file, rather than scanning the image. You must supply the following information with each entry: name of pupil, class/year, school name, title of work and number of students involved.
We do ask that you keep hard copies as an awards presentation will take place and the hard copy may be required for exhibition. Entries to this competition may feature in publicity materials of Show Racism the Red Card. For example, a painting may be used to advertise future competitions, while the written or other pieces may be used on our website or in other media.
Registration confirms you agree to these terms. Contact: 018280018 for more information.
